Christmas time has come again, so soon. I love this time of year. The tree has been trimmed and decorations adorned. My two little elves love to help. Even a little craftiness has been had. We decided to go back to getting a real tree this year and boy were the kids excited about having a real tree. Worth every needle that drops on the floor. We want a white Christmas, so our tree this year is full of snowflakes and hints of red. Carl sawed off the bottom of the tree and I used the excess to make a wreath...love the smell of fresh pine. I also finally got to make a coffee filter wreath that I have been eyeing on pinterest for a year.
...and the season of joy and hope has begun.
FHE last night we talked about each of the symbolisms of Christmas, the tree, the color green and red, the star, presents and all the greatness this season has to offer. I was very impressed with how much Kya knew already. Now whenever we say, "who's watching you?" Zander responds with, "Jesus (not santa)". Love these kids more than I can ever really express.
Ozzy found his place for the season, right under the tree. And even Belle has made her appearance...kids are getting a kick out of her activities so far. She has had a marshmellow bath, hung from the microwave by her feet, climbed the tree and decorated the tree with TP, even tried to get the freezer opened (she must miss the cold weather of the north pole). Its a search every morning for her with giggles and excitement.
