because I want to remember

This morning Zander woke me up at 6:30 saying, "oh no, I wet".  He is doing really well with the potty, he is actually a champ...but maybe once a week or less, he forgets to wake up at night to go potty.  So I got him cleaned up and put new undies and jammies on him.  Since Carl is gone fishing and Kya had a sleepover last night with her cousin Mollie....its just me and my boy.  He climbed into my bed with me and cuddled up tight.  (I love that he cuddles) 

Yesterday he was complaining of a headache and then threw up...poor kid.  So as we are laying there this morning I asked, "how does your head feel?"
Zander: "great"
Mom: "good, I am happy that your head doesn't hurt"
Zander: "you not happy that I peed"
Mom:  "no, but that's ok, just gotta remember to wake up and go"
Zander: "ya"...pause...."where are daddy and Kya?"
Mom:  "fishing and with Mollie"
Zander:  "mom, I want you dump out my beans (beans for good behavior)"
Mom:  "why"

Zander:  "cuz I peed my pants and be naughty"....pause...."but I am strong and can balance, and pick up stuff...but I not touch stuff and be happy.  Once I get money I buy robots.  I drink all your water cuz I am a funny boy.  And I eat lots of food and get bigger to go to school.

Mom:  I am laughing inside so hard....I about peed my pants.  hahahahahahahaha!

What a great conversation with my son...I want to have these always with my kids.
