Zander's 3rd Birthday

Saturday, the 28th, was Zander's 3rd birthday.  He was so excited to be "growing bigger".  What a fun kid.  So the day started with Zander waking up to his room filled with balloons.  He thought that was pretty neat.  Then we drove out to Richfield to visit Pepper.  She lives on a dairy now and she had puppies.  So we wanted to meet her little ones.  They are so cute.  She had 9 puppies, three didn't make it, and there are 2 white, 2 chocolate and 2 black ones.  Then we just spent the day hanging out as a family.  For dinner we took the kids to Gertie's, a great pizza place.  They love the arcade and playing the games.

I made cupcakes for Zander's birthday and then he tells me he wants a dinosaur cake...so Kya decided she want to decorate his cake.  She did a pretty good job.  We ended the day with cake and ice cream and opening presents.  Zander is so very loved, he has been playing with his dinosaur and helicopter everyday.

We also decided to use his birthday and "growing bigger" as a tool to see if he wanted to potty train.  Worked like a charm.  Today we are on day 4 and he is doing pretty good.  A few accidents, but he does a pretty good job to tell us he has to go and get to the toilet.  Man I love this kid.
