Ok, so I really don't consider myself domestic by any stretch of the imagination, with regards to anything "in the kitchen". My poor husband feels deprived of all the goodies he could be enjoying, if I were to bake more. But I almost have to be in the right mood, or guilted into it. But when I am in the mood, I go all out.
I wanted to make some french bread today, so I donned my apron and asked Kya if she wanted to help. Of course she said, "Help". But then I realized that she didn't have an apron....so with some dish clothes from the "wedding gifts, saving for later" pile, we made her an apron likes Mommy's. I thought she looked darling. So Kya helped me make some bread. It is rising right now so I cannot tell you yet, that it turned out spectacular. With my luck and bread making skills, probably not so good, but maybe with Kya's help my luck will change.
FYI: To get the "Part 2" of "My cute dress", you will have to refer to my photography blog...It was Photo Op Wednesday (click on "Photo Op Wednesday")

You are the best mommy ever! As I read through this post I had a big smile on my face the whole time. She is so dang cute and the apron is awesome. Good job Kya, you have managed to do something your mom hasen't in 6 years make daddy a good loaf of homeade bread.
K thanks for trying all those times. HA HA HA. I have the best wife.
I love the apron! Kya looks like she was meant to be a cook! Teach her while she is young. We love you guys!
Chris

Cute little cook! I need to try some of Kya's cooking! How did the bread turn out?
Best apron every!! Don't forget to let us know how the bread turned out. I'm sure it was WONDERFUL! Love, Becky
That is too cute, I am very impressed, how about a bake off, Mollie vs. Kya. I will have to make Mollie an Apron though.
Now that is cute! Yes, I responded to your question about the Wasatch Back on my site, but you must not have seen it.. I can't help you out with volunteering because I'm doing the race, so I need to find my own volunteers! Sorry. I'd love to help, but I'll be chugging along. Are you running it or volunteering? You're a babe!
What a cute idea. I finally busted out my new sewing machine tonight. All I made were some headbands for a friends baby, but I was proud that I didn't break the machine. I could use some tips. I'm excited to learn. My mom asked, "didn't you take home ec? Um........yeah 15 years ago!
Paula, that apron is so cute and so clever, but that is your middle name, well Kanani is, but you are clever. I love the idea and the fact that Kya was such a great help. Enjoyed the call telling me the bread turned out great. Glad you finally felt success with bread making. Kya looks so cute.We miss her very much.
Did you make that apron? It is adorable! Man! I should have taken sowing lessons from you before we moved! We miss you guys! Ya know, something kinda funny...we think that Carl and the host of "deal or no deal" have the same facial expressions and mannerisms! What do you think? We don't watch it a lot, but he reminds us of Carl....minus the whole bald look! :)
Oh! I am working on that post you tagged me on...sorry it's taken soo long! I am on to it though!
What a fun helper you have! I'm glad the bread turned out so great!
