My younger sister posted on her blog a really great, motivational post. BIG BOOST! My two older sisters gave me words of encouragement. My husband (best man ever) gave me a foot massage, and rubbed out my sore heel. Now it doesn't hurt. Ta da...I am back on track. Excited and ready for my run tomorrow morning.
Here are a few things that help me get through my training.....
1. My IPOD...can't run without music.
2. Foot rubs. Thank you Carl.
3. Yogurt, smoothies, protein drinks
4. Vitamins
5. Water....love my water bottles.
6. Bananas
7. Ice...poor knees
8. Shoes, good shoes are key
9. Prayer
and last but certainly not least
10. My TEAM
You guys rock, keep up the great work!

How many miles. I'll look it up. I agree with your list. No ipod, no friends to run with, no sugar. Forget it! I used powergels (2) and 1 pack of sport beans to get me through. It made a huge difference. Bananas are good right before too! I'll keep watching for your progress. I understand what you're going through! I'm so proud of you!
Keep it up, Paula. We can do it - if it's the last thing we do (which it might be) we can do it! Glad you've got some things helping you out. Fun collage.
Good for you. That is so awesome that you are doing this and that you have family and friends to support you! THank goodness for IPODS! I could not agree more, its so much more fun to work out to music.
I'm glad you got over your hump. Keep it up. Clearly it's too much for me so I'm impressed with everyone that's doing it.
Go, Paula, Go!! What a great goal and attitude you have. :)
I used to be a runner- sprinting not long distance! I admire people who have the drive to run marithons I don't know If I ever will do it. I have thought about it for the reason of conquoring self. I think when doing these things you can learn something otherwise imposible. Go for it! I think it will be an awesome experience. I admire your determination. Good luck with training!
We are all behind you! (literally because I don't have the drive to run any kind of long race...:)) I'm glad you have your drive back - keep it up...can't wait to hear how you all do!
Go girl! You are an inspiration to those of us (like me) who don't get off our butts to do much! Love ya! good luck!
Could you send Carl over here? My feet have been killing me lately. Maybe that will motivate me to start training for something. Good luck!
that would be so fun if we could see you friday...get ice-cream again or something. i am sure it is going to be a busy day for you though, but let me know. do you still have my phone #?
i love that you are running a marathon. if only i could get that kind of motivation. you go sister! hehe.
GOOD for you to be so athletic! The most I have ran since I got married was a little over 2 miles! YOu encourage me to be better!
GOOD LUCK WITH THE RACE! My favorite song to listen to when I run is by the Dixie Chicks, "Ready to Run" hahah It always makes me laugh...or "I'm comin Home" :)
Love the post and agree with it all. I have now added aspercreme to my list. Hatin' the shin splints. I'm about ready to go get acupuncture done.
Oh, I hate running. Good for you for sticking it out! Good luck in the race. I haven't been blogging much, your blog looks cute!
