Running for Life!

Ok, so just a quick update on the "Baking" post. My bread turned out great, and I even attempted wheat bread, which also turned out delicious. Kya must be my lucky charm. From now on...she helps!
I am so excited! Today was the official start of training for the Wasatch Back
race that my family is running in. With new shoes (since my old ones are from the 2003 Top of Utah Marathon), an enthusiastic attitude, and a gym to train in while the weather is cold...I believe I am set and ready to train. This morning's run felt great. I love a challenge, and running is a challenge for me. I hated it in high school and now it seems to be something I really enjoy, for the pure sake of accomplishment.
So get out your banners and come cheer us on...teasing. I am just excited to get started officially and definitely looking forward to seeing my family too. Good Luck everyone in your training!

Congrats on the great bread. I need to attempt it - I'm just scared of anything with yeast. I seem to ruin it.

Good luck with the training!

Alicia and I had a great time this morning when we started training. She went at a much faster pace than I did, but since I just turned 59 it's OK. Actually, I ran for the 15 minutes and then did a 5 minute slower pace. I'm there. Actually, we have been going to the gym for a while, but today was official.

Oh, jealous. I haven't officially started. It's been raining since we got here and no gym. But the sun did come out this afternoon so I have plans to go tomorrow morning. I am SO excited about this race!!! Can't wait. Good for you for being motivated.

Wow, you go girl! I could never do that, though I've NEVER been a runner.

Glad the bread turned out. Must have been your little helper that made it so sweet. :)
