Tender Mercies and Proud Mama

I had the opportunity to go to Time Out for Women in Boise Idaho this weekend.  My sweet little 3 year old boy asked me before leaving, "Why are you going to time out, what did you do mom?"  Then I came home this evening and he said, "mom, did you do good.....are you a bad mommy or a happy mommy?"  When Zander goes to time out, I tell him that he can come out when he decides to be a happy boy.  Well, my answer is, "I am a happy mom".

Kya, has been taking piano lessons for a year now and I am so proud of her talents and efforts.  Of course with a lot of encouragement, she practices almost everyday.  A couple weeks ago we were having family home evening and we asked Kya to play a primary song that we can sing to.  She started to play "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam"...it was a little rocky and she was struggling through it as we sang.  I asked her to practice it through the week so we could sing it again while she played for the following week's FHE.  She did and she did great the next time.

So a couple days ago she had practiced her normal assignments for the week, an hour after she was done, she went to the piano (without being asked), sat down and played "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam", by heart without even getting the book out.  Proud Mama
