Journaling

It is sad that the last post I did was for Easter. And taking pictures hasn't been up to par either...since I always have my phone on me, I am usually taking pictures with it and now I don't know how to get them from my phone to the computer.

We have all been sick around here for the past two weeks with this dang headcold. Kya got it first and it hit her hard. When Kya fevers...the girl is on FIRE. She has always run high fevers and it scares me. She also talks in her sleep a lot...well one night after she had been sick for a couple days, she was talking for about two hours in her sleep...just random stuff. Until around 2:00 am she started to yell for "daddy". Carl ran in and she was crying and telling him to "fix it...they're ripping, they're ripping....stop them" When asked what, she said "the clouds are ripping my pillows". She continued to repeat this over and over. I went in and tried to wake her up, but she said she was awake. Checked her temp and it was 106.1*. The girl was hallucinating...FREAKED me out.

We threw her in the tub, gave her some tylenol and Carl gave her a blessing. I was crying and Kya continued to talk about the clouds ripping her pillows, asking us if we fixed them.

A few days later it hit me hard too...headcold, congested, coughing....all the crap that comes with. I wasn't much for being a mom, housekeeper, wife or even a PERSON. Carl has had a sore throat and a cough, but unless he's just being tough, he has still been able to function (thank goodness).

Then just a few days ago, Zander gets it. Goopy eyes, runny nose and just plain onry...poor kid. Since the weather has been so blasted cold and windy, we haven't been outside much either. Gettin' some serious Spring Cabin Fever in the Weeks house.

So that is the latest and I really hope we can go outside soon, get healthy and take more pictures.

O'mgosh! I've never seen a temp THAT high!! I remember Tess getting high temps ang getting in the tub with her to keep her there, I would be sooo scared too! I ALWAYS wished there was a way for me to be sick instead of the girls, it always breaks my heart to see them ill. I'm so glad you got it under control...xoxo

Yuck! I hate being sick and it's even worse when the kids are sick. Nothin' worse than crying sad sick kids and you can't do a thing about it! Hope you guys get better soon. :)

Fevers are the worst. Glad she is okay and that you're all starting to feel better.

Zander is SO handsome! He's a little boy now. When did that happen? Love all the pictures.
