Master Bed

I have finally finished my bedroom set. Don't know why it is, but somehow, the bedroom always gets decorated last...and I'm not even really done with the room, I just got our bedding done.
So, here is a BEFORE of our bed. Reminder: The headboard I made a year or so ago from an old door I got about 4 years ago. Yes, I moved that thing around 4 times (Carl didn't like that). But now its gorgeous. My white sheets and pillows....and then I painted our room blue (from about 5 different colors of paint we had left over)...wait until you see the "After".

TA DA.....AFTER. Here the fun part. My bed set can be changed into 4, yes FOUR, different arrangements. Let me know which you like best. (Please excuse the dust in the pictures...either my room is dusty, or my pocket camera needs to be cleaned.)

Style #4

My friend's mother-in-law taught me how to quilt on her long arm and I got to do most of it. We all had fun playing around with the machine. Here is a close up. My quilt is just two California King size sheets quilted together. The duvet at the foot of the bed is a blue sheet cut up and arranged, with some curtains on the other side. The pillows are scraps of everything put together. I really had fun designing this and now I am really glad its done.
Now all I have left is the curtains, maybe a bench for the foot of the bed and some pictures to hang.

Apparently it has been a really long time since I looked at your blog. So much has gone on since the last time. Congrats to Tess and Jon. That is the first time I have seen them. Zander is very cute. Has he started fully crawling yet or just doing the scooting? Now we have had some diaper misshaps too but never that bad. That looked so gross! And it looks like you did a great job on your bedroom. Now I need you to come decorate my house. I need the PAULA touch. Well, we love you all. Oh, and I just wanted to let you know that Rianne is finally fully potty trained. NO MORE PULLUPS! Love you all!

Love the bedding. I think we did pretty good if I do say so myself! That is nice to be able to mix it up all the time. Now we just have to do mine!!

Wow you are so good at sewing, and how might I ask did you find time to do all of this, what with little ones even! You are amazing, you can come do mine too! I think I like Pic#1 the best but with the stripe blanket at the foot of your bed showing both blue and stripe floral, so folded like the bottom picture. All are very gorgeous!

Great job Paula. I'm not sure why you are doing interior design instead of doing a gym. However both fit you very well and you do a great job at whatever you do. The bedroom is beautiful and The quilt is amazing. I have five bedrooms to do someday. Love ya. Thank you for the updates on the kids also. I Love seeing what they are doing and reading the things they say. Kids are funny.Love from both of us.
