I thought I would share some pictures from placement. This is kind of the "ceremonial" "passing of the baby". Those words sound so weak in comparison to what is actually taking place. This is a very special occasion that we are so blessed to be able to experience....twice. We love Jerica and Jeff and Tess and Jon more than we could ever really explain to them or anyone. Aside from our own children....our birthparents mean the world to us.
Jon putting Zander in the carseat as we head down for placement at the hospital chapel.
Arriving at the hospital chapel.
Some of the big group there. Not my wide angle lens.
Jon, you are a funny guy.
Gifts for Tess and Jon. Of course Tess and Jon gave us the best gift....Zander.
Matching blankets for T and J and Zander.
So excited to get a baby brother.
Jon as a baby....see the resemblance.
More love than can be described.

Thank you...is all I can say. Words don't do this gesture justice.
Kya giving Tess some love, "Thanks for a baby brother" What a great couple. We love you guys, unconditionally.
Carl spoke for us....of course I wouldn't have been able to talk at all...but even Carl was choked up.

Going Home.

You can't explain placement to anyone. You just have to be lucky enough to experience it. Congrats!

Wow. It is hard to even comment on such an emotional experience for you. Did you read The Ensign articles? I guess they are from awhile ago. I was reading them and thinking of you guys the whole time. What a great program the church has offered.

I totally agree with Tiffany, you can't fully understand placement and the emotion there until you are blessed to be in that situation. So tough, wonderful, humbling, and full of so much love. It takes me back to our first and makes me excited for #2, someday soon! CONGRATS!

Wowza! Even I am getting choked up looking at the pictures. The emotions of the moment come back to me as if it were the actual moment all over again.

What a celestial experience it is that we get to be a part of.

We want to thank all of you for your support through this wonderful process. Adoption is a very BEA-utiful plan the Lord has given to us.

We appreciate all of you, thanks for all the very kind and loving words.

Congratulations! I am so excited for you. Tess is such a cute name. If we got a girl we were thinking of using that name. We made a blogspot for little Dylan and his story at www.ourbabyboy17.blogspot.com Let me know what you think. Thank you SO much for sharing your story. These pictures are priceless. I am SO happy for you and your family!

Even though it was really awkward at the time I'm still really glad we did the whole get together and passing of the baby. Jon and I really couldn't ask for a better family to have given Zander to.
We love you guys so much, and can't wait to come see you in June or July.

I also agree with Tiffany and Kristin. I think unless you have lived that moment it is hard to explain. and everytime I read someone's placement story it brings back memories of our own. It is such a humbling, special experience. What a touching story. Thanks for sharing.
