Memories (sing the song, you know you want to)

My friend put this on her blog and I thought it would be fun. Besides, I've been a slacker blogger.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

EVERYBODY PLAY! I want to see what memories you have!!

My sweetest memory of you & Carl... the day Kya was born and the wonderful spirit that was in the delivery room as two completely seperate families merged together to welcome an angel from heaven into the world.
Love you guys!

My memory of you that stands out is how sweet you and Carl were to me when Ashton left for Iraq, and had just had Aspen, and was a mess. You guys invited me to your house for dinner, and I was falling asleep visiting with you guys, so you just held Aspen and let me sleep. I was soooo tired, and felt bad that I wasnt' being a good mom to Aspen, and that I really had this secret, that I wanted to leave her with you and not come back and get her, because I was having a little post partum and was seriously stressed. I felt like an awful mom, but you made me feel like I was doing great. You have been a great role model to me. I absolutely love you!

I would have to say it was when you told all of us over dinner at Jerry & Chris's house one night that you use to be a lip whore... Is that out of line for me to say?

Well, actually Carl gave me that name, JoJo, but yes it was true, and no you are not out of line...that was pretty funny.

I would have to say the day after the temple sealing when you blessed Kya in church. The spirit was so strong. Also the many times you came and visited me as my visiting teacher. And Carl as our hometeacher.

I have many great memories of you. You have always been so kind and willing to lend your help and support to anybody who needed it. I do remember having hot chocolate and family home evening in your apartment in Logan, you make some killer hot chocolate! I also remember the countless haircuts you graciously gave Luke in your living room.

I remember meeting you when we first moved into the ward and how kind and welcoming you were. I also remember visiting during mother's group and watching beautiful Kya grow up.

I have a few. :)

First, the photo session you did for our family Christmas picture! You did an awesome job, by the way! Why did you ever have to move away? Especially when I'm going to want Mommy/Baby pictures come November! :)

Second, our talks... just in general. It seems like at Enrichment activities we always ended up chatting about something, and I remember you always being so easy to talk to! Believe it or not I've thought a lot about that and miss it.

Completely off the subject, did you hear Tiff had her baby?

I have two memories that stand out. The first is all of the lessons that you taught in RS. Everyone was always crying at the end. The second is when we were at the bishops house and you and Carl played with my boys. That is when I found out that you wanted twins and I wished I could copy mine and give you them.

I remember meeting you for the first time you were so pretty and still are and I was so happy that my cousin met you and that you gave him some hair tips. (no parts down the side)

I remember your R.S. lessons! One time I was part of one of your visual aids and I got to eat a cupcake :)

Oh- and I remember coming to see Kya with Lacey when she was just a few weeks old. I remember feeling like I was witnessing a miracle. I loved just watching you with her, and I kept thinking that it was a very special day. (And that you were a total natural at this "mom" stuff!)

I remember on your first date with Carl, when you sat down in the cat and as he walked around you said, "Oooh your brother is HOT!". Fun times!! :)

Sorry I can't spell. You didn't sit in the cat, but you did sit in the car. :)

Paula, I remember that we spent one day together in Logan. We roller bladed and just talked. It was really great to be able to talk to someone without judgement. Thank you so much. You are a wonderful sister-in-law.

One of my favorite memories (and probably one of the last times we saw each other) of you guys was going over to your house and meeting Kya at Halloween for the first time. She was so adorable!! And I remember thinking how excited and happy you were to have her. So sweet!

I remember you being, and still think you are today a very sweet person and friend! You and Carl both had this "Spiritual Giant Aora" about you everytime I would talk with you guys at church or anywhere really! Jon and I have always thought that you two were super intimidating the first time that we met cause you are just soooo perfect at everthing!!! YOu two are one of the nicest folks I know! Honest!

I will always remember the power in your lessons that you taught in R.S. I looked forward to your lessons!!!

Eversince Kya's birth, you and Carl have had such a special bond with her, and such a special bond as a family that it brought me to tears the first time I saw you holding Kya.

I have two memories that I will always cherish about you. The first is when you came up to me in Wal-Mart asking my advice on what stationary you should use for your birthmother letter ( I can't even tell you how much it meant to me that you felt secure enough to approach me...it made me realize that I could make a difference with my story )!

The second memory is when you and Carl were in Wal-Mart (again, with Wal-Mart, ah ha...) and introduced me to Kya for the first time. I don't think either of you know what an effect you have had on my life. I felt so priveleged to be included in your happiness and in so many ways it has helped me heal.

I love you Paula, and Carl too...I miss you guys so much!! I hope all is well.

I remember the time you had all of your Marykay stuff and insisted on giving me a foot massage and you introduced me to the concealer, which is still the best I've found. Anyway, you've always been so full of service and love. You are such a beautiful person! I of course remember the beach, my mom, the boys, and taking pictures too when I think of you! You will always hold a special place in my heart!

Hmmm...I can't pick just one. I remember back to the wonderful days of you has my Visiting Teacher. I loved it when you came to visit. Also, playing games at our house with you guys. Always a good time!

Paula I will never forget the first day we met you and Carl. That great feeling I felt towards you two will never be forgotten. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Kya and for loving her like you two do, and thank you for letting us all be a part of her life. We love you!

I guess the first memory I have of you is when you stayed at our dumpy apartment with the smokers below us. You got to sleep on the floor basically and Macie woke you up in the middle of the night cause she peed the bed. Sorry about that one! Wish you were still here, I am lost without your help decorating.

It was great to see you guys at the fair. My first memory of you was meeting you when you came into our adoption class and told us your adoption story. Thanks for sharing.
