Lately Kya and I have had some fun talks. She has been saying things that just amaze me and make me so happy to be her mother.
The other day she heard Carl and I discussing General Conference and she asked, "Am I going to get to color in the ties again, I really want to do that?"
So for conference she colored in some ties and drew pictures of the things she heard. In one picture she drew a family and told us that she loves families. And then last night when I got home from work and mentioned that we were going to have Family Home Evening. She said, "but when we have Family Home Evening, we have to have all our family here" (Dad is gone on a business trip)
Tonight while putting Kya to bed, I just lay next to her and we "chatted". We have been talking about choosing the right lately, and she told me, "mom, when we do crafts, we should really clean up our mess (very matter-of-factly)". Then she smiled and gave me a big hug and said that she chose the right.
Yes you did, sweetie! Yes you did.
Speaking of talking: Zander is a little chatter box. He is starting to put together two and three words. And he has the cutest little voice...what a fantastic kid.
"daddy fick" (daddy fix)
"where daddy"
"my daddy (pointing to himself), Kyka (pointing to me)"
"puppy eat"
"help foo" (help shoes)
"I like" (shaking his head no with a disgusted look on his face, meaning 'I don't like that')
"I eat" (while clapping and running to get into his chair)
He sure talks about his dad a lot, but he is a real momma's boy. I love when I come home from work and he runs into my arms and says "HI"...well yells it while giving me a huge hug. Best little reminder of true happiness wrapped up into one little two year old. He is such a joy!
I could not be more grateful for the blessings I have been given, than I am at this moment. Thanks, to all who deserve more than I can give, and especially to my Savior.
