Crawling?.....

Ok, so I think I've left the poop pictures up long enough. For your viewing enjoyment....Zander "nearly mobile". He is so close to a full out crawl, its crazy. He definitely knows how to get what he wants, with a roll....a scoot....sitting up.....and even a bit of a push-up.

Why I HATE cheap diapers!!!

WARNING: This post contains pictures with slightly graphic nature. But pictures tell the story. So...I hate cheap diapers because they almost always fall off of my little Z. Here is how the story goes. I fed Zander and changed his diaper. Layed him down for a nap. He was playing with his toys for a bit, but quiet and ready for sleep. I went into my office, turned on the baby monitor and proceeded to get some work done.
About an hour later, after complete silence and both my children napping...I hear a horrible scream coming from Zander. So I run upstairs to see what happened...the boy can't get out of his crib yet, so what could possibly cause him to scream "bloody murder".
Please do not judge me, or my mothering abilities, for taking pictures of my son before taking care of the problem...but I had to capture the memory.....

Yup, that's poop, all over my poor little man. He hated it!

He didn't like it at all...even after cleaning him up...he was clinging to me with the saddest little puppy eyes. Broke my heart.

But of course...I would hate to leave you all from this post without some adorable pics of little Z and his charming dimples and smile. This was earlier in the day while eating breakfast.
Look how clean...and not covered in poop he is.
He looks so innocent. Of course he is...I do not blame him for the poop incident...I completely blame the diapers and their cheapness....NO MORE CHEAP DIAPERS.
In fact...if I were going to blame someone...it would be ME, for being cheap and not spending the few extra bucks for a reliable diaper.
Although I do not mind one bit cleaning Z up...I felt so bad for him...I was almost in tears.
SO CUTE!

Camping? In the backyard.

What a fun dad! He asked Kya if she wanted to sleep in the backyard Friday night...she jumped all over that fun. The two of them had a blast hangin' out in Carl's tarp tent. It was a cold night, but Kya loved it.

Nice hair, dad? Kya told Carl, you need to get some nicer hair. Hey girl, when we camp...we don't care what we look like (mostly)

Silliness...and the Fair.

I think it is time to get rid of the bumper pads...wouldn't you say.
This is how I found him playing after his nap.
What a goof!

As we do most every year...we went to the Grace Idaho Fair this past weekend. Of course I had to leave early and come home to work. But we had fun. Fair food...yum, the parade (I have to always make fun of, because the parade goes up and down main street, TWICE, to make it a good parade), but Kya really got into it this year. She told me to "shoose" when the horses were coming and she put her hand on her heart. (of course this was for the flag, but she thought it was for the horses)
Aside from being sick, both kids had a great weekend.

Kya was excited about daddy's catch on Saturday.
Carl was pretty excited too. He got to go fishing with his grandpa from Wyoming, which I know grandpa really enjoyed.

A few collages of the fair and parade.

A little TUMS anyone?

Zander's Sealing and Blessing...and Kya's Birthday

We had a great weekend. According to a previous post, we finalized Zander's adoption, sealed him to us and blessed him. A little journaling before pictures. Saturday we were blessed to go to the Twin Falls Temple and have my grandpa EJ Morgan seal Zander to us. What a beautiful thing. Kya was there with us, she sat with Gma Morgan during the sealing. Zander was fascinated with the chandelier and he was as handsome as can be. We were priviledged to have Jerica, Kya's birthmother, hold Zander at the alter. That was an opportunity we were not going to pass up. We had a lot of family and friends there to support us. Tess and Jon were at the temple as well. Now we are eternally as family of four.
Sunday we blessed Zander in our Twin Falls 1st ward. We had grandpas (that were in town) stand in the circle. Gpa Morgan, Gpa Weeks and Gpa Gregersen. Plus my brother EJ and Carl's brother Dee. We have so many great men in all seven of the families, but we limited it to grandpas and immediate brothers. What a beautiful prayer that Zander's father, Carl, gave. I had a few people jot down notes....I will have to go back and type it up for Zander.
After we had a little gathering for Kya's birthday. All seven families were represented at this. Thank you Jeff, Gma Cindy, and Gpa Allen (and respected families) for coming to share this day with us. It was so great to have everyone together and that everyone has chosen to be a part of our family.
Thank you to my mom for hosting the large crowd....I am going to have to build a mansion with a very large party room, just for family gatherings....especially if we add more chillin's to the mix.
Now for the good stuff...pictures of the weekend.
Smiling and ready for a grand weekend.
Kya took a picture of us before court on Thursday. Photographer in the making....check out that angle.
Yeah, Tess and Jon made it, early saturday morning.

My Grandpa EJ Morgan and Grandma Mary. Grandpa sealed Zander (and Kya, and us) to us. We love him so much. Thank you for helping make this an eternal family.
Enjoying a nap after the sealing.
Most of the crowd...some got away before the pics.

What a beautiful temple we have.
After Zander's sealing. Thanks to Clark Draney Photography for the pictures.

Horsie swing.

Our birthday girl. Somehow, we managed to not get a picture of Kya with her new bike that mommy and daddy got for her. One more inch, Kya and you'll be set.
Kya is already sitting at her new computer, as I type, playing games. We have no chance as parents....our kids are spoiled. How can you not be with 7 grandparents.

Gotta get a picture in the wrapping.

I love these pictures. They are priceless for us. We love having such a large and open family. Pictured below:
Left to right
Jon (holding Zander), Tess (Zander's birthparents), Morgan (Jerica's husband), Jerica (Kya's birthmother), Kya, Jeff (Kya's birthfather), Alicia (Jeff's wife), and their little Oakley.
Birthparents with appropriate children. We are so blessed, I cannot even describe it.Thank you everyone....We love you all!
