Too Busy To Breath!

Still busy, but thought I would post another quick note. Done with the race, spent time with G & G W., G & G P., G & G G., and we are now with G & G M. What a week. Kya is loving seeing all her Grandparents.

We are home today and back on the road tomorrow for a family reunion in Utah. I have still yet to unpack much of anything and in the middle of about 10 loads of laundry. A lot has happened in the last two weeks and I want to post about it all....another day!

Oh, Carl, Kya and I are finally all together. Let me just share with you the moment we all met up together again, after the move and the race and everything that kept us apart. My mother-in-law met us at a gas station in Pocatello so we could pick up Kya and head in our next direction. We opened the car door and Kya said, "Mommy, Daddy, Kya" and started to just cry. She held on to us for several minutes before she lifted her head off my shoulder to talk to us. Of course I cried because yes, Mommy, Daddy and Kya were all together again. (Can you tell I am a first time mommy and this was the first time we left Kya for more than a few hours.)

Just thought you all would enjoy some really funny video of Kya...click HERE.

Arrived safely...kind of

That title sounds bad...I am here in Twin Falls safely. My family is not here yet. Carl is still driving from Colorado with the big Uhaul and Kya is with Grandma for the weekend so I can run my race. I was definitely missing all of them last night...very lonely. Of course I had my parents to keep me company, but I really miss my sweetie and little angel. I will be glad when we are all here, back together and safe. Grandma, have fun with Kya...cause I miss her.

Twin Falls or Bust!

Ok, this is my last post in Colorado Springs. We have really enjoyed our time here in CS....our very short time here in CS. We made some great friends, that will definitely be life long friends. But when the opportunity arises, we couldn't pass it up. Farewell CS...look out TF. Due to our move time and my race this weekend....I will be offline for a short time. See you soon!

Denver Children's Museum

Today we went to the Chilren's Museum in Denver, while Carl was in meetings for work (he joined us later at the museum). This has been a dream of mine as a mother since I was a nanny ten years ago. I went to the San Diego Children's Museum with my little guy as a nanny and since then, I couldn't wait until I could take my own little "learner" to a Children's Museum. We had a blast.
We painted, colored, played basketball, dressed up like a chef, a fire"woman", a bunny, a possum (I think), a painter, a queen, a vet and a carpenter. I couldn't decide which video to share so I chose this one. But there are plenty of pics of Kya's eventful day.

Shopping for groceries.

Buying our groceries.

Bunny in the forest.
Taking care of the puppy, giving him a shot. This was her favorite "career", she loves those puppies.
Listening to his heart...she knew exactly where to put the stethoscope...that's my girl!
Fire"woman"...this costume took some warming up to...she was little frightened by the large pretend firefighter. This smile was just for daddy, so she could take the hat off ASAP.
This is how tall I am...love the giraffes. 36" tall.
A possum (I think)
She really wanted to play with the puzzles.
Oh, and the letters...She was very excited about this large magnetic board. We were here the longest.
Daddy and mommy need to work on her "balla" skills, she was struggling a bit with shooting. But she does love to watch basketball with daddy.
Making my superhero cape...What a blast!

Ok, I had to share one more video...I love this little girl. She makes me so happy!

Fun video updates of Kya

Kya went fishing with Daddy on Saturday, while Mommy was working and busy with photo sessions. On the way home she was falling asleep with a chip in her hand...apparently she didn't want to lose that chip.

Tonight after church, Carl was teasing Kya. I've said that I had a kid when I got married, what a goof. He tied the phone to some fishing line and hung it down the stairs. Kya got a kick out of the "goofy phone".

Crazy summer....and now it begins.

Alright, I am really trying to stay in touch with my blog pals, but soon I am sure I will not be able to as much, at least for a while. Today my crazy summer has officially began. Just to make this easy on me (the writer) and you (the reader) I am just going to make a list of my itinerary. We have some exciting news as well, so you can see that among the list of caos. If you really don't care about my summer, skip this post (I don't blame anyone for being bored). This is actually a great reminder for me since I have so much going on.....here goes. (Deep breath)

1) Today Carl took a day off from work to stay home and help me pull all of our boxes up from the crawl space so we could begin to pack.....yes, pack, we are moving. Silly us, since we were just there a little over six months ago, back to Twin Falls, Idaho

2) Tomorrow I am scheduled to run 3 times, each run for 3.5 miles. Don't have time on Saturday, squeezing that in tomorrow.

3) Work a night shift with my darling little patient friday and saturday night.

4) Saturday I have two photo sessions scheduled. Be looking for those on my Photo Blog sometime next week (I hope). Also one scheduled for the 16th of June.

5) Carl and I are still in the middle of planning Youth Conference for our ward here, which we sadly will not be able to attend (just two weeks after we move), but will pass off the last minute details to another couple in the ward. This is going to be an awesome Youth Conference, I am really sad we will miss it. We are sending the kids on mini-missions and the name of the conference is "Mission:Possible" I would post a follow-up of the event, but I won't be there to take pics

6) Next week, we will be in Denver for a few days. Carl has work meetings and Kya and I will join him for one of the days. We are going to try to get to the children's museum and catch a Rockies game while we are there.

7) Then I have my race in Utah (180 mile foot race from Logan to Park City, with 12 team members) June 20-21. Which I am flying in for with Kya and then flying home (alone) the 22nd to pack up the rest of our house with Carl. Thank you Grandma's for helping watch Kya while we make this move.

8) Move to Twin.

9) Hope to have a house by the time we get there so we can get started on our remodel ASAP, as to not be too much of a burden on G & G M.

10) Family Reunion June 28-29

11) Finish remodeling, move into our house and hope to be settled before fall.

12) Making a wedding dress.

13) Family Reunion in August.

14) Then the fun begins...one of the other reasons we are moving back to Twin Falls (aside from Carl's old boss asking him to come back), I will be fulfilling one of my life-long dreams. We are opening up a fitness center. Totally excited about this. Further details later on that. Don't worry, still plan on keeping my photography business going.

I am pretty sure that wraps up the caos. Although I am sure I will find something more to do. I asked for it, I wanted to be busier...here it is...busy.

So, why am I just sitting here posting this forever long post about my schedule....stalling the inevitable...I should be packing right now.

Just a note, for those of my fellow bloggers in the Twin Falls area, please keep note that I am moving to your area and would love to schedule some photo sessions. Of course I do have a very limited schedule, but would like to work something out as possible.

If you made it through the whole post....you rock, thanks for your friendship and patience.

Feelin' Great!

As most know, I am training for the Ragnar Relay Race, which is only three weeks away. I am totally excited about the race, but quite honestly.....sick of training. So I got up at 4:45 this morning so I could give myself plenty of time to run 6.5 miles before Carl leaves for work at 6:30. I think I have slowed down some in my training......BUT, surprisingly I haven't.

I am running this morning, really not excited to be running, but then once I got going...felt pretty good. Listening to my music and going down hill a bit. Always love the down hill parts. As I am running and begin up hill I think to myself, "how on earth did I run a marathon". Three reasons come to mind...

1) I was five years younger
2) The marathon course was mostly downhill or flat and
3) I was at a lower elevation than here.

Alright, so I am older, running up hill (a lot), and at a much higher elevation. Well, this morning I ran all but about 10 yards of my 6.5 miles. (That last little bit of the hill, about 7% grade, just kicked my butt). My feet are dragging, and I feel like I am really going slow. But I just kept going...running, running, running and more running!

I walk in the house and look at the clock to see how fast I ran it....Da da duh!
1 hour and 10 minutes
This may sound slow to most of you, but my goal is to run an 11 minute mile as my slowest pace. I felt like I ran a 20 minute mile...but I ran about an 11 minute mile. LOVE THAT!
I am not a fast runner, and the older I get I am finding out how I really am not much of a runner at all, I would rather be toning at the gym and taking a kickboxing class or something like that. Well, I am sure that I bored most of you...But I am proud of myself. Run, Paula, Run!
