Mommy's little helper!

Its been awhile since I've posted anything about Kya. She is growing up way too fast, each day seems to slip by. I've been trying to capture the moments so we can remember. Here are a few I wanted to share.

Kya has become quite the little helper, and if any of you know me (before I was a mother) I am anal retentive when it comes to a clean house. I've definitely become more lax about it since Kya. But I love the fact that she likes to clean. I've gotten some great pictures of her ....

*Doing laundry...aka...pulling all her clothes out of the drawer and then putting them back in...

...Doing dishes...aka...pulling out the silverware and turning them upside down before putting them back in. What great help! Mommy loves it.

Kya loves to read and she will sit in front of her books reading for quite a while sometimes. Not quite hours, she is only 1, but she does love to read. I got some great video of her reading but it was too large to post. Sorry!

We found a house. Yahoo! I am so excited, it's time to start decorating. It is out in the country a little, but I think Carl will enjoy the fresh air. Although, all of the Springs has fresh air. Cute house huh. Here are a few pictures of the interior. Hope you like it as much as we do. We will miss you all very much. Come visit us.

COLORADO or BUST!

Ok, I am so EXCITED. Today, Colorado called (the whole state) and said to Carl, "We are offering you both jobs in Pueblo or Colorado Springs. Of course we chose Colorado Springs (CS). I am so thrilled. Carl is awesome and works hard and has a natural charm that really gives a great impression on people. I am just so excited that we will be in CS and not Pueblo. Tons more to do for Kya and me. We will have fun. This may come as bad news to some of our family...we are moving farther away. But that just means you will appreciate us that much more. Distance makes the heart grow fonder. We are very appreciative of all the support from our family and friends while in transition. Thank you all.

Friday Night Date Night

Tonight my sister watched Kya for us while Carl and I went to the soup kitchen to serve dinner. It was a great night, very humbling and great to be able to do service. Then Carl took me out for frozen yogurt. Simple...but usually the best dates.

Friday Night Date Night

We went to Colorado. Carl had some job interviews in Colorado. Friday night we drove to Salt Lake area and spent the night at my sisters house. Thank you Melanie for your hospitality and taxi service. You are the best.
Carl and Kya had a ball jumping on the trampoline friday night and we just had a great time spending time with cousinshe. Watch for the video of trampoline fun soon.

We spent some time on Friday with Grandpa-Great Morgan. We are pals now.
Saturday we flew out of the Salt Lake City airport, and on to Denver. We had a great weekend, driving all over Colorado it seems, interviewing and looking at places or areas to live. Kya is a born traveller. That makes her mommy happy. She was so good on the plane rides and driving in the car all weekend. She either slept or read books and played. She was never difficult or fussy. As we boarded our flights Kya was saying "Hi" to everyone and "Thank you" to the flight attendants. What a polite little girl.
Here we are ready to board, and Kya is so excited.

Daddy and Kya on the plane.

Just being cute, what's new?

Tribute to "mojo"

So, my sister posted today claiming to have lost her "mojo" for blogging. I thought it was such a great post and inspired some clever comments. I have noticed in the blogging world I have been exploring. that it has slowed down.

Fewer and farther between posts....less commenting....and just as my sister explained..."mojo" lost (http://durazfam.blogspot.com)

Although I appreciate the comments I've read and recieved, it would be fun to see a bit more posting and commenting.

Fellow bloggers, get back on the horse and keep riding. We love the blog world. Thanks for the entertainment.

Sis, your mojo rocks, you will find soon.

Friday Night...nope...Monday Night Date Night

So Friday night we just hung out at home be and went for a little walk because we moved our date night to Monday. This past week was the Twin Falls county Fair. We are not much of Fair goers, but of course now with Kya we thought she might enjoy the sites, colors, noises and being outdoors of course. We took her to the petting farm. We thought with her love of animals that for sure she would love them. She has developed a little bit of a fear and so she didn't want to get too close, but we got some great pictures. She was sure intrigued by the rides, too bad she's just a tad small for those. Although, Daddy might have to be the one to take her. The older I get, the weaker my stomach.

Grandpa took Kya home around 6:30 and then Carl and I went to the Motorcross show. That was a ton of fun. There were some crazy stunts and it was awesome. We missed Kya, but I was afraid all the noise would bother her and she wouldn't know how to handle it. She's kind of used to Daddy's motorcycle, but like I said, she has developed a bit of a fear. Besides, it was nice to have grandma and grandpa to be able to put her to bed ontime.
What a fun night! A friend of mine suggested a post, "Top Ten best Friday Night Date Night" Stay tuned for that post, coming your way (hopefully) soon.
