6 Unforgettable years...

An eternity to go. Well, yesterday Carl and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. What an awesome husband I have. A little history if I may.... St. Valentine's Day, six years ago, Carl took me out to dinner to an Italian restaurant called "The Aroma". And then dancing under the Perrine Bridge. I thought "what a great idea for our anniversary date".
Well, Carl thought the same thought. Unfortunately the Aroma no longer exists. So we went to "Tomatoes", another Italian restaurant. Which I had the Colori d'Italia (colors of Italy) pizza with a mango Italian cream soda, and Carl had the Chicken Cordon Blue. (That part was for Melanie, she loves to hear about the food part) Then we went for a ride on the motorcycle in the canyon below the bridge. And topped the whole evening off with a movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean". It was a wonderful night, a memory maker.

Edited...

My last post may have had too many pictures, because the text did not post. What I was explaining was that Kya had a blast playing outdoors. Its a good thing, because, with her daddy, she would need to love the outdoors. She talked and giggled while we went for our four wheeling rides around the campground.

Island Park

We had a ball this weekend. We took the opportunity to get away for the long holiday weekend. Since we are coming up on our 6 year anniversary, it seems like a great weekend to celebrate. Of course we are not ready to celebrate an anniversary without Kya yet, so she celebrated with us. I wouldn't have had it any other way. She was so much fun, as always. Kya loves the outdoors and giggled and talked the whole time while riding on the four wheeler. She slept while in the boat. Must be the rocking motion, but she was so cute. Here are just a few pictures of us playing. I wish I had video of Kya's latest, she is growing so fast. She is now actually trying to move from bottom to all fours. Her right leg gets stuck, but she is trying.

My Missionaries

I love my missionaries They are both working very hard and serving. Aren't they so cute? Uncle EJ is in Paris, France and Uncle Shon is in the Columbus, Ohio mission. Mom and Dad are making sure I know who they are so when they come home I will remember them. Either way, it is fun to have missionaries. Click on their pictures to see the mission websites. Explore more info on where they are serving.

A little birdie told me...

Kya loves animals and babies. Here the birdie "Romeo" is telling her a secret.

Just because she's cute...

Kya loves to swing, she would sit there for hours if mommy didn't get so hot out in the sun. The other day I cut my thumb chopping lettuce and Kya was outside in the swing playing with daddy. Carl came in to help me bandage my finger and Kya sat in the swing just sitting there, enjoying the scenery. Now there is a girl who knows what R&R is, daddy's little girl.

First Step

Kya has taken her first attempt at a step. She won't crawl yet but she is very close to walking. What a funny girl.

Ta-da!!!

We are on the net, check out this fun stuff and comment if you wish. This is so fun, I love it.
